ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a creative and motivated Digital Content Creator to join our growing media team. The successful candidate will help create engaging digital content for social media, websites and other online platforms.

This is an opportunity for someone who understands digital storytelling and wants to contribute to content that highlights African people, ideas, businesses, opportunities and stories.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create engaging short-form and long-form digital content.
• Develop ideas for social media posts, videos and campaigns.
• Research interesting stories, trends and opportunities.
• Write captions, scripts and other digital content.
• Assist with video editing and content production.
• Monitor social media trends and audience engagement.
• Work with the wider media team to develop new content ideas.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong understanding of social media platforms.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative approach to storytelling and content creation.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Basic video editing skills are an advantage.
• Experience with platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or Facebook is an advantage.
